This Privacy Policy describes how Second Order Labs LLC ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in connection with Clean Link. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Data Collection

Clean Link is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

• No accounts required
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No data transmitted off-device
• No ads

On-Device Storage

Statistics and settings are stored locally using iOS App Groups, shared between the main app and Share Extension. No data leaves your device.

This data includes:

• Lifetime count of tracking parameters removed
• Date and time of last link cleaned
• Your settings preferences (e.g., aggressive mode toggle)

This data remains on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third party.

Clipboard Access

Pro subscribers can enable optional clipboard monitoring. When enabled, the app checks for trackable URLs when returning to the foreground. This feature requires explicit user opt-in and displays iOS's standard clipboard access notification.

• Clipboard access is opt-in only and requires explicit user action to enable
• The clipboard is only checked when the app returns to the foreground (not continuously)
• Clipboard contents are processed locally and immediately discarded after cleaning
• No clipboard data is stored, logged, or transmitted
• iOS displays a system notification whenever any app reads the clipboard, providing transparency

Share Extension

When you share a URL to Clean Link via the iOS share sheet:

• The URL is processed entirely on your device
• Tracking parameters are identified and removed locally
• The cleaned URL is returned to you immediately
• No URLs are logged, stored, or transmitted to any server

Third-Party Services

Clean Link does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services. The app operates independently without external dependencies that could access your data.

Subscriptions

Clean Link offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.

• We do not receive or store your payment information
• Apple provides us only with anonymized transaction confirmations
• Your subscription status is stored locally on your device
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings

Children's Privacy

Clean Link does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. Since the app does not collect any personal information from any user, it does not pose privacy concerns for children.

Data Deletion

Since Clean Link stores data only on your device:

• Deleting the app removes all locally stored data
• There is no server-side data to delete
• No account deletion process is needed (no accounts exist)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
